SNOUT is a collaboration with writers, artists, events, and letterpress machines founded by Daron Mueller. Begun at the Left Hand Reading Series in Boulder, Colorado, the aim from the outset was to gather unpublished work from invited authors and produce a new book in advance of each event.
The first books made for the Left Hand Series were often doubleheadders as two readers were invited to each event. The goal has always been to re-invent the book as an object and an idea.
Over the years much of the writing found it's way into literary magazines and full length published books, including works by Anselm Hollo, Maureen Owen, Noah Eli Gordon, Eleni Sikelianos, CA Conrad, and Anne Waldman among many, many others.
